SAGindie’s Favorite Films of 2020

Oh, 2020. What more is there to say about you? COVID and Quibi and Biden and Trump; plans canceled, protests held, Animals Crossed, Boltcutters Fetched, doughs soured, interactions Zoomed. And through it all, some movies actually saw the light of day. So in our annual wrap-up to a truly unprecedented year, our staff looked back to some cinematic highlights for SAGindie’s FAVORITE FILMS OF 2020.

Having watched 31 new movies so far, my favorites of 2020 are Nomadland and i’m thinking of ending things, followed by The Assistant, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Color Out of Space, First Cow, The Forty-Year-Old Version, Lovers Rock, Mank, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Shirley, Sound of Metal.

Favorite non-2020 movie I finally saw this year… Albert Brooks’s Lost in America.
