PGA Wants to Help Get Your Bond Back

The SAG-AFTRA Performance Bond is something that all feature-length signatory productions pay (the amount varies, but it is a percentage based on your covered actors’ payroll). That bond (or security deposit) is returned when principal photography has wrapped and all required paperwork has been received, but in indie film – when every cent and every minute counts – it can be stressful waiting to get that money back.

Now, thanks to the Producers Guild of America in collaboration with SAG-AFTRA, help is on the way!

The PGA has a new online Performance Bond service to speed up the bond return process. Producers (all producers, not just PGA members) who have submitted the required paperwork but are still waiting for their bond to be returned can fill out the PGA’s Performance Bond form to get their return expedited.
