Ooh la la, SAGindie has returned from France! The 2023 Festival de Cannes took place May 16-27, and SAGindie once again sponsored The American Pavilion, programming entertainment industry roundtables for the attending film students. This year’s students got to hear from the likes of Emmy-winning actor Jeffrey Wright, director/producer Augustine Frizzell, Sundance Institute’s Rosie Wong and Neta La’i, producer/writer Liz Cardenas, director/producer Stephen Bayly, director/producer John Palmer (pictured above at his SAGindie Roundtable), and more.
In addition to the career development, networking, and SAGindie-sanctioned karaoke, there were plenty of movies screened. Check out which films won this year’s jury awards below.
