NOTICE: To Low Budget Producers (2015 rate changes)

There are some changes afoot for filmmakers using SAG-AFTRA’s low budget contracts.

Effective July 1, 2015, the minimum rates applicable under the Ultra Low Budget Agreement, the Modified Low Budget Agreement, and the Low Budget Agreement will increase by 25%.

New Minimum Rates (effective July 1, 2015)

  • Ultra Low Budget Daily Rate: $125
  • Modified Low Budget Daily Rate: $335
  • Modified Low Budget Weekly Rate: $1,166
  • Low Budget Daily Rate: $630
  • Low Budget Weekly Rate: $2,190

Additionally, the following is effective July 1, 2015:

New Budget Thresholds (effective July 1, 2015)

  • The budget threshold for the Ultra Low Budget Agreement will increase to $250,000
  • The budget threshold for the Modified Low Budget Agreement will increase to $700,000
    • The Diversity in Casting incentive will increase to $1,050,000
    • The Background Actor incentive will increase to $112,000
  • The budget threshold for the Low Budget Agreement will remain the same ($2,500,000)

Updated agreements will be posted on the SAGindie and SAG-AFTRA websites before July 1, 2015.
