Last night we attended the 2006 Gotham Awards, the event that celebrates New York independent filmmaking and kicks off the awards season.
As usual, the event was star-studded, including friends of SAGIndie; Terrence Howard, Miranda July, Adam Goldberg, Joshua Leonard, and Master of Ceremonies, Kyra Sedgwick.
A full list of winners and show highlights can be found here. But for me, the most memorable points during the evening’s festivities were hearing Maria Bello, Kyra Sedgwick, and surprise guest Bill Murray say dirty words on live television (something tells me they’ll probably be bleeped out during re-broadcasts).
Oh, and the free Dewar’s wasn’t bad either.
